Your Body at Week 22

Are you finding yourself losing your balance a bit more this week? This is because your posture will have changed by this stage in result of the enlarging uterus and your baby being slung forwards into the middle of your body, which means your centre of gravity has changed.

The way to deal with this, is to lean backwards, arch your back, and ensure that your legs are wider than normal. However, this change in posture can result in backache, since the ligaments of your abdomen, back and pelvis are under strain. This is where a pregnancy support belt would come in handy, to relieve pressure.

Your Baby At Week 22

Inside your baby's body, the nervous and skeletal systems are continuing to mature. This means the movements you are feeling inside are more deliberate rather than random movements.

You have possibly noticed by now, that your baby has their own sleeping pattern. However, this isn’t always when it suits you, which results in keeping you up majority of the night, whilst they bounce around inside your bump oblivous to making mummy not very happy the following morning!
