Before Taking the Test

📅Expiry dates are still used on Pregnancy Tests:

The first thing you would need to do is checking the expiry date on the box of the test you’re taking. An expired test can give an inaccurate result.

☕Put that cup of tea down and pick the test up:

Avoid drinking TOO much before taking the test. Drinking liquids can dilute the levels of the HCG hormone in the urine and can often cause a negative result. If the levels of HCG are too low, they may not be picked up by the test.

🐦Early bird catches the worm:

It is important if testing early, to use the first urine of the day as this is when your HCG levels in your urine are most concentrated. If you have already missed your period, you don't have to use this rule as your HCG levels will be rising in the first 10 weeks.

📝Decide your method:

Are you going to hover over the toilet on your tiptoes and hold the test in your urine stream? Or are you going to collect a sample in a clean cup and do the good old fashioned "dip test"? Whichever method you're choosing to take, you must decide beforehand to ensure you're doing everything correctly.

How to Use the Clearblue Pregnancy Test?

  • Pregnant vs Not Pregnant (Some may say how far along)
  • + vs -
  • Two Lines vs One Line

Am I Pregnant?

You may feel the need to test again but they do say if you see two lines, faint or standing out for sure, you're pregnant. However, there are a number of reasons why you may experience a false-positive pregnancy test. A number of women feel the need to clear Boots out of all cheap pregnancy tests and keep taking them until they finally give in and purchase a digital one. This then gives the answer in plain and simple terms, PREGNANT. Pregnancy tests can be purchased in any shopping centers like Superdrug, Boots, Bodycare and the pharmacy. You can also purchase these on Amazon.
