Zip sleepsuits in soft organic bamboo
Every sleepsuit here has our QikZip™ two-way zip instead of poppers. For a nappy change in the night, you unzip from the ankle, change your baby and zip straight back up, with their arms still snug in their sleeves and nothing to line up in the dark.
They're zip baby grows in 95% organic bamboo with 5% elastane, GOTS certified and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 tested, so they're very soft and have enough stretch to get wriggling arms and legs in without a battle. The cuffs fold over into mitts for babies up to 12 months, and the feet fold over like built-in socks.
The printed and plain ribbed sleepsuits share the same cut, zip and fabric; the ribbed ones just have a textured knit in a plain shade.
Packs are the same sleepsuit in one size, and the bundle pairs one with a bamboo sleeping bag in the size and TOG you choose. Each has a size guide that goes by your baby's length rather than their age.
Questions, answered.
What size should I buy?
Go by your baby's length, not their age. Newborn fits 45 to 55cm, 0-3 months 53 to 63cm and 3-6 months 60 to 66cm, running up to 78 to 86cm at 18-24 months. They're true to size and cut to fit up to two months longer, so if your baby's between two sizes, take the smaller one.
Why a zip rather than poppers?
There's nothing to line up at 3am. The QikZip™ opens from either end, so for a nappy change you unzip from the ankle and your baby's arms stay covered and warm.
Is there a size for premature babies?
Yes. Tinybaby fits babies up to 45cm long and comes in our single printed and ribbed sleepsuits. The packs and the sleepsuit and sleeping bag bundle start at Newborn, for 45 to 55cm.
Should I buy singles, a pack or the bundle?
The sleepsuit is the same in all of them. Packs give you two, three or five in one size, so there's one on and one in the wash, and the bundle adds a sleeping bag in the size and TOG you pick. Singles are the way to mix prints, or to try a size before you buy more.
Are they gentle on sensitive skin?
They're very soft and breathable, and several parents of babies with eczema or sensitive skin tell us they don't irritate. Every baby's different, though, so wash new sleepsuits at 30 degrees before the first wear and leave out the fabric softener.
