They come up high over your tummy with a gentle hold that never digs in, the snug fit keeps a maternity pad where it should be, and after a C-section the waistband sits above the incision line instead of on it.
The three-layer gusset dries quickly and is made for postpartum bleeding and the small leaks that can come with a cough or a sneeze after the birth.
The fabric is 71% Tencel™ Modal, very soft against tender skin and stretchy enough to move with you as your body settles after the birth.
Buy a single pair or a pack of two, three or five. You'll change more often than usual at first, so it's worth having several.

What size should I order?
One size up from your usual knickers. They're cut small, and a pair that's too tight tends to roll down onto the very place you're trying to protect. By dress size, S is 6 to 10, M 10 to 14, L 14 to 18 and XL 18 to 22; on the line between two, take the bigger one. For hygiene reasons we can't take knickers back or exchange them, so check the size guide before you order.
Can I wear them straight after a C-section?
Yes, that's what the high waist is for. It sits above the usual bikini-line incision, so the waistband isn't resting on it, and the fabric is soft enough to wear over a dressing in the first days. If anything rubs or presses on the wound, take them off and mention it to your midwife.
Do I still need maternity pads?
In the first few days after the birth, yes. Bleeding is heaviest then, so wear a pad in them; the high, snug fit holds it in place. As the bleeding eases, many people find the gusset copes on its own.
How are they different from the C-section Knickers?
Our C-section Knickers are low-rise, cut to sit below the incision line. These come up high and sit above it, with a gentle hold over your tummy. Both are the same soft Tencel™ Modal with the same three-layer gusset, so it comes down to where you'd rather the waistband sat.
Can I wear them for periods later on?
Yes, and plenty of people do. The gusset takes light period days and small bladder leaks, and the wide waistband doesn't dig in when you're feeling bloated.
