Questions, answered.
What should I buy for a summer pregnancy?
Lightweight layers matter most. Our seamless maternity leggings and bras are made from breathable fabrics that cope with warmer weather better than cotton, and pregnancy compression socks help with the ankle swelling that gets worse in heat. A 0.5 or 1.0 TOG sleeping bag is the right choice for a baby due in summer. Belts and bands are worn under clothes, so they suit any season.
How many sleeping bags does a spring baby need?
Two is the practical minimum: one 1.0 TOG for milder nights when the nursery sits between 20 and 24 degrees, and one 1.5 TOG for the cooler nights around 18 to 20 that spring still throws up. That also gives you a spare while one is in the wash. Check the room with a thermometer rather than guessing, and adjust what baby wears underneath using the guide on the bag's label rather than adding blankets.
Do spring sale items come with the same returns policy?
The window and conditions are the same, 30 days from the order date, unworn and unwashed with tags attached, and exchanges through the returns form. The difference is that our Returns page currently excludes some sale and discontinued stock, so read the product page before you order a reduced line. Knickers, socks, swimwear, peri bottles and breast pumps cannot be returned once opened whatever the price, and a £4.99 label fee applies unless you added Returns+.
Are last season's prints still safe to buy for size?
Yes. Sizing does not change between print runs, so a retired print in 3-6m fits exactly the same as a new one, and the fabric composition is identical. Our sleepsuits are sized on height rather than age, and the size guide on every product page shows the height band for each label, which is more reliable than going by months alone. If your baby is at the top of a band, take the next size and use the fold-over cuffs.
What is reduced in the spring sale?
It is mainly winter sleepwear making way for summer stock: higher TOG sleeping bags, long-sleeved bodysuits and heavier prints, plus a rotation of maternity leggings and nursing bras in colours we are refreshing. If you have a baby due in autumn, this is the cheapest time of year to buy the 2.5 TOG bags and warmer layers you will need then.
