Most muslin squares are too small to wrap a baby in. These are 120cm square, big enough to swaddle a newborn, and just as useful over your shoulder for burping, as a cover for feeding, or on the floor for tummy time.
They're 70% bamboo and 30% cotton, light and breathable, and there are three in the box, which is about right: one in the changing bag, one over your shoulder and one in the wash.

How big are they?
Each one is 120cm by 120cm (47 inches square), a good deal bigger than the 70cm squares most muslins come in. That extra size is what makes them big enough to swaddle with.
Can I swaddle my baby in one?
Yes, a thin muslin is the kind of material the Lullaby Trust suggests for swaddling. Keep it below the shoulders, firm enough that it can't come undone but looser at the hips so the legs can bend up and out, and always lay your baby on their back. Stop swaddling with the arms in once your baby shows signs of rolling.
Can I put one over the pram for shade?
No. The Lullaby Trust advises against covering a pram or buggy with a blanket, muslin or anything that stops the air flowing, because it can overheat and you can't see your baby. A clip-on sunshade or parasol does the job safely.
Will they get softer?
Yes, they soften with every wash. Wash them at 30 degrees and skip the fabric softener, which coats the fibres and works against it.
Can I use one as a blanket in the cot?
Not as a loose cover. The Lullaby Trust advises keeping the cot clear, as loose blankets can end up over a baby's face, and a well-fitting baby sleeping bag keeps them warm without anything loose.
