Replacement Flange Inserts

Replacement flange inserts for the BABYGO® Electric Breast Pump, available in 17mm, 19mm and 21mm sizes.

The right insert size gives a comfortable, secure fit, helping you pump comfortably and express more milk. BPA free and food grade.

They reduce the effective flange size, so you can fine-tune the fit without buying a whole new flange. Since flange fit is the most common reason a pump underperforms or causes soreness, an insert is often the cheapest fix for a pump that is nearly right but not quite comfortable.
If your nipple moves freely in the tunnel with a lot of areola being pulled in, the flange is too big and an insert will help. If there is rubbing at the sides, it is too small and an insert will make it worse. Watch what happens during a session rather than measuring alone.
They are made for the BABYGO® Air™ Electric Breast Pump, single and double. Inserts are not interchangeable between brands, since flange tunnel shapes vary, so check before ordering if you are using a different pump. If you are unsure whether you need one, watch how much areola is drawn in during a session rather than measuring alone.
The opposite, usually. A correct fit improves the seal and drains the breast more effectively, so output typically goes up rather than down. Poor output from a flange that is too large is one of the most misdiagnosed pumping problems, often blamed on supply when it is a fitting issue.
Wash in hot soapy water after each use, rinse and air dry completely, as with any part that touches milk. Check them periodically for scratches or distortion and replace when they no longer sit flush inside the flange, since a loose insert will break the seal it is there to improve.
