How do I know if I need one?
Watch what happens during a session rather than going by measurements alone. If your nipple moves freely in the tunnel and a lot of the areola is pulled in, the flange is too big for you and an insert will help.
What if the flange feels too tight?
An insert won't help with that. It only makes the tunnel smaller, so if the flange rubs at the sides, an insert would make it worse.
Will they fit my pump?
They're made for our Air™ pumps, single and double. Tunnel shapes vary between brands, so they won't necessarily fit another make of pump.
How do I clean them?
Wash them in hot soapy water after each use, rinse and let them air dry completely, as with any part that touches milk.
When should I replace them?
When they no longer sit flush inside the flange, or if they're scratched or out of shape, because a loose insert can't hold the seal it's there to improve.
