BABYGO® Child Safety Straps
Stick-on safety straps for cupboards, drawers, fridges and bins
These straps keep a door, drawer or lid shut against little hands. One end sticks to the door or lid and the other to the frame or side, so they work on kitchen cupboards and drawers, and on the things a hidden magnetic lock can't do: the fridge, the oven, the bin and the toilet seat.
Each strap is tested to withstand a 30kg pull and fixes with 3M™ adhesive, so there are no screws or tools. They adjust too: push the strap to the length you need and trim off the rest.
There are eight in the pack, with spare 3M™ tape. The adhesive holds best on a clean, dry, smooth surface, left for 24 hours before you test it.

What can the straps secure?
Cupboards and drawers, including ones where a magnetic catch won't line up, plus fridges and freezers, ovens, bins and toilet seats. They keep doors and lids shut; they aren't wall anchors, so for a chest of drawers or a TV that could tip, use an anti-tip kit fixed to the wall.
How strong are they?
Strong enough to keep a fridge door or a bin lid shut against a determined toddler: each one is tested to a 30kg pull. What usually decides how well a strap holds is the adhesive underneath it, so a clean, smooth surface matters more than anything else you can do.
Will they stick to a fridge or a textured surface?
A clean fridge door is ideal, because it's smooth. Textured, painted or porous surfaces hold far less reliably, and that's the usual reason a strap lets go. Clean the spot with something that leaves no residue, let it dry, press firmly, and don't fit one to a surface that's warm.
Can I move them later?
The 3M™ adhesive is designed to come off without damaging the surface underneath, but a strap won't usually stick as well a second time. Use the spare tape in the pack if you need to refit one.
Do I still need cupboard locks?
They do different jobs. Magnetic locks sit hidden inside the cupboard, so most people use them for the run of kitchen cupboards, and the straps take the fridge, the oven, the bins and any door a magnetic catch can't line up with.
