What size should I order?
They come up small, so take one size up from your usual; the size guide goes by dress size, with S for a 6 to 10, M 10 to 14, L 14 to 18 and XL 18 to 22. You don't need to go up again for your bump, because the waistband stretches. For hygiene reasons we can't take knickers back, so check the size guide before you order.
Is a thong comfortable in pregnancy?
It's the same soft Tencel™ Modal knit as the rest of our maternity underwear, with no tags and a waistband that holds without gripping. Whether a thong feels right all day is personal, so try one before you buy a pack.
Why over the bump rather than under?
Under-bump knickers sit low on your hips, which some people prefer early on and in hot weather. An over-bump waistband comes up and over, so it can't roll down under your bump as it grows.
What is the gusset for?
It's there for light leaks and the extra discharge you get in pregnancy, so on lighter days you may not need a liner. The three layers dry quickly after a wash.
Can I wear it after the birth?
Not for the first weeks. While you're bleeding you need knickers that hold a maternity pad, and after a C-section you want a waistband well clear of your scar, which is what our postpartum knickers are for. Once you've recovered, it's back to being an everyday thong.
