Bamboo baby clothes, sleeping bags and a carrier
This is our baby range in one place. The zip sleepsuits are 95% organic bamboo, with a two-way zip that opens from the ankle for night changes and mitts and feet that fold over. The bodysuits and leggings are a ribbed bamboo and cotton knit, for daytime and for layering under a sleepsuit.
At bedtime, a sleeping bag does a blanket's job but zips on, so it can't be kicked off. Ours come in TOGs from 0.5 to 3.5 and sizes up to 36 months, and the sleepsuit and sleeping bag bundle puts the two together, with both sizes and the TOG chosen by you.
Sleepsuits are sized by your baby's length and made to fit up to two months longer, so if your baby is between sizes, take the smaller one. Sleeping bags go by the fit at the neck and chest rather than the age on the label.
There's also the AirMesh™ carrier, with three carry positions for babies from 3.2kg to 14kg, large 120cm bamboo muslins in threes, nursing pillows, and kids pyjamas in prints that match some of the sleepsuits.
Questions, answered.
What size should I buy for a newborn?
Go by length rather than age: Newborn fits 45cm to 55cm and 0-3m fits 53cm to 63cm. For a premature or very small baby, several of our single sleepsuits come in Tinybaby, up to 45cm.
Which TOG sleeping bag do I need?
Go by the temperature of the room your baby sleeps in, measured with a thermometer rather than guessed. Most UK bedrooms sit at 16 to 20°C at night, which is 2.5 TOG, or 1.5 TOG if the room stays at 18 to 20°C. Below 16°C choose 3.5 TOG, from 21 to 23°C 1.0 TOG, and from 24°C 0.5 TOG.
What should my baby wear under a sleeping bag?
It depends on the room. At 16 or 17°C, a long-sleeve bodysuit and a sleepsuit in a 2.5 TOG; at 18 to 20°C, a sleepsuit on its own in a 2.5 TOG; and from 21 to 23°C, a short-sleeve bodysuit in a 1.0 TOG is plenty. Whatever the TOG, never put a blanket or duvet on top.
Is bamboo gentle on sensitive skin?
It's very soft and breathable, and several parents of babies with eczema or sensitive skin tell us our sleepsuits don't irritate. The sleepsuits are GOTS certified organic bamboo, tested to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for harmful substances. Every baby is different, so wash each piece before the first wear and leave out the fabric softener.
Can I exchange clothes that don't fit?
Yes, within 30 days of your order, as long as they're unused and unwashed with the tags on. Check the size guide for each piece first, as the sleepsuits, bodysuits and leggings are each measured a little differently.
