Why buy two rather than one?

Because one nursing bra is never enough. In the early weeks of feeding you will be changing more often than you expect, between leaking, spills and the general reality of newborn life, so the practical minimum is one on, one in the wash. A twin pack is the cheapest way to get there and arrives in two colours rather than two of the same.

How much support does it give?

It is a soft, light-support bra rather than a structured one. No wires, hooks or tags is what makes it comfortable to wear all day through pregnancy and nursing, but it will not give the lift of an underwired bra. If you have a larger bust or want firmer support, our Support+ maternity bra or nursing sports bra are the better options.

What size should I order?

Your current size at the time of ordering. Sizes run S to XL in seamless Tencel™ modal with four-way stretch, so one bra covers a good deal of change. Some customers find the fit generous, so if you are between sizes take the smaller. Remember that milk coming in around days three to five brings a temporary increase beyond anything pregnancy produced.

How does the nursing clip work?

Flick the clip at the front of the strap and the cup drops away, exposing one side while the rest of the bra stays put. It is designed for one hand, because the other one is holding your baby. The same opening works for a pump flange, though for regular hands-free pumping a dedicated pumping bra holds flanges far more securely.

How should I wash them?

Wash at 30 degrees on a low temperature and avoid the tumble dryer, which is what tires the elastane and leaves a stretch bra baggy. Fasten any clips before washing so they cannot catch the fabric. Skip fabric softener. Washing both bras together keeps them ageing at the same rate.
