BABYGO® Baby Sleeping Bag
Pairs well with
A soft bamboo sleeping bag your baby can't kick off
Blankets get kicked off in the night, and then you're up checking whether your baby's cold. A sleeping bag does the blanket's job but zips on, so it stays put, and the Lullaby Trust lists a well-fitting sleep bag as one of the safe choices for cot bedding.
Choose the TOG from the temperature of the room your baby sleeps in. This one comes in 2.5 TOG, for the 16 to 20°C most UK bedrooms sit at overnight, and 3.5 TOG for rooms that stay below 16°C.
The zip runs from the feet end, so a nappy change is unzip, change, zip back up, with the bag still on. Poppers at the shoulders make it easy to get on in the first place.
The outer is 95% organic bamboo, soft and breathable. It comes in 0-9M and 9-18M; go by the fit at the neck and chest rather than the age on the label.

Questions, answered.
Which TOG do I need?
Go by the room temperature at night, measured with a thermometer rather than guessed. This bag comes in 2.5 TOG for 16 to 20°C, where most UK bedrooms sit, and 3.5 TOG for rooms below 16°C. If your room is warmer than 20°C at night, look at our 1.0 or 0.5 TOG bags instead.
What size should I choose?
Go by the neck and chest, not the age on the label. The 0-9M has a 31cm chest, 10cm neck and 70cm length, and the 9-18M 35cm, 12cm and 90cm. If you can pull the neck opening up over your baby's chin without effort, it's too big for now.
Can a newborn wear it?
Yes, once the neck fits closely. The 0-9M has a 10cm neck, so a small newborn may need a few weeks before it sits safely; until then, use a light swaddle or a sheet tucked in below the shoulders, with their feet at the foot of the cot.
What should my baby wear inside it?
Work from the room temperature. At 18 to 20°C, a sleepsuit on its own in the 2.5 TOG; at 16 or 17°C, add a long-sleeve bodysuit underneath; below 16°C, a long-sleeve bodysuit and a sleepsuit in the 3.5 TOG. Check their chest or the back of their neck rather than their hands to tell if they're warm enough.
Can I put a blanket over it?
No. The sleeping bag replaces the blanket, so nothing goes on top at any TOG; if the room is cold, change the layers underneath or go up a TOG. Keep the cot clear of pillows, duvets and bumpers too, and no hats indoors.
