Blowing up a birthing ball with a hand pump is hard work, and harder still when you're heavily pregnant. This small electric pump does it for you: fit the nozzle into the valve, switch it on and leave it to run.
It's rechargeable, so there's no plug or wire to trail across the floor; charge it with the cable in the box. At 7cm by 5cm, it fits in a hospital bag or the bag you take to an antenatal class.
It fits our 65cm and 75cm birthing balls, our peanut balls and our kids exercise balls, and it lets them down again when you want to pack one away.

Questions, answered.
Will it fit my ball?
It works with all of our balls and with the standard valve on most exercise balls. You can also add it as an option when you buy a birthing ball, so check you haven't got one already.
Does it make inflating instant?
It's much quicker than a hand pump, but the ball still needs to reach room temperature first, and it's worth leaving it overnight and topping it up the next day while the material relaxes. What the pump saves you is the effort.
Does it need plugging in?
Only to charge. It runs on a rechargeable battery, so once it's charged you can use it anywhere, with no wire.
Can I use it for other inflatables?
It's made for exercise balls, but other inflatables with a compatible valve, such as paddling pools and air beds, are usually fine. Check the valve fitting first.
Do I need it if my ball came with a pump?
Not to use the ball: the pump in the box does the job. This one saves your energy, which helps late in pregnancy or if you'll be letting the ball down and blowing it up again, say to store it between pregnancies.
