A sleepsuit and sleeping bag that both unzip for night changes
At bedtime your baby needs something soft against their skin and a sleeping bag instead of loose blankets. This bundle is both, a BABYGO® zip sleepsuit and a BABYGO® baby sleeping bag, and it costs less than buying the two separately.
You choose the sleepsuit size, the sleeping bag size and the bag's TOG when you order, so the set fits your baby and suits your room rather than coming as a fixed pair.
For a nappy change at 3am, the sleepsuit's two-way zip opens from the ankle and the bag's zip runs from the feet end, so you can change your baby without taking either off.
Both are 95% organic bamboo on the outside, very soft against your baby's skin, and the bag is tested to EN 16781, the European safety standard for children's sleeping bags.

How do I choose the two sizes?
Size each one on its own. Choose the sleepsuit by your baby's length (Newborn fits 45 to 55cm, up to 12-18m at 75 to 81cm) and the bag by chest and neck: the 0-9M has a 31cm chest and a 10cm neck, and the 9-18M a 35cm chest and a 12cm neck. It's normal for the two labels not to match, because they're measured differently.
Which TOG should I choose?
Go by the temperature of the room your baby sleeps in, not the weather outside. Most UK bedrooms sit at 16 to 20°C at night, which is 2.5 TOG, or 1.5 TOG if the room stays at 18 to 20°C. Below 16°C choose 3.5 TOG, from 21 to 23°C 1.0 TOG, and from 24°C 0.5 TOG.
Can a newborn use the sleeping bag straight away?
Only once the neck fits closely, so your baby can't slip down inside. The 0-9M has a 10cm neck and smaller newborns may need a few weeks to grow into it; until then, use a light swaddle or a sheet tucked in below the shoulders, with their feet at the foot of the cot.
Does my baby need a blanket as well?
No. The sleeping bag is the bedding, so never put a blanket or duvet on top; if the room is cold, add a long-sleeve bodysuit under the sleepsuit or go up a TOG instead. To check they're warm enough, feel their chest or the back of their neck rather than their hands.
Is it a good gift before the baby arrives?
Yes. If you don't know the nursery, choose 2.5 TOG, the bag most UK babies sleep in, and the 0-9M size, which fits once the neck sits closely. For the sleepsuit, 0-3m gives a new baby room to grow into.
