Baby boy sleepsuits with a two-way zip
This is our pick of sleepsuits for a baby boy: prints with animals, space, cars and sea creatures, and ribbed sleepsuits in plain shades. Every one is our QikZip™ sleepsuit, so the zip opens from the top or from the ankle, and a nappy change in the night doesn't mean undressing your baby.
The printed and ribbed sleepsuits differ only in the knit and the look. Both are 95% organic bamboo with 5% elastane, GOTS certified, with mitts that fold over for babies up to 12 months and feet that fold over like built-in socks.
Sizes run from Newborn to 18-24m, and several also come in Tinybaby, up to 45cm, for premature and very small babies. The 2 packs give you two sleepsuits in one size, so one can be in the wash.
Questions, answered.
How are these different from the girls' sleepsuits?
Only in the prints and colours. The fabric, the zip, the fold-over mitts and feet and the size guide are the same across all our sleepsuits.
Are they suitable for newborns?
Yes. Newborn fits babies from 45cm to 55cm long, and several also come in Tinybaby, up to 45cm, for premature and very small babies. With the two-way zip, a night change is unzip from the ankle, change and zip back up.
What size should I order?
Go by length rather than age, using the size guide, which runs up to 78cm to 86cm at 18-24m. They're true to size and made to fit up to two months longer, so if your baby is between two sizes, take the smaller one.
Should I choose printed or ribbed?
It comes down to the look. The ribbed ones are a textured knit in a plain shade that goes with a patterned bib or a cardigan, and everything else, from the zip to the fabric, is the same as the prints.
Are they gentle on sensitive skin?
They're very soft and breathable, and several parents of babies with eczema or sensitive skin tell us they don't irritate. Every baby is different, so wash them before the first wear, at 30 degrees, and leave out the fabric softener.
