Is the double pump worth the extra over the single?

It is if you are pumping regularly rather than occasionally. Double pumping halves the time of every session and typically yields more per session, because expressing both sides together produces a stronger hormonal response. If you are returning to work, building a freezer supply, or feeding twins, the time saved adds up quickly. For the occasional bottle so someone else can feed, the single is plenty.

What is included?

Two complete pumps, two milk collectors and two full sets of flanges and small parts, so both sides are fully independent. That independence matters, because it means you can use one on its own when you only need a top-up, and it means a worn part on one side does not stop you pumping at all.

Can I use just one side at a time?

Yes. The two units work independently rather than being tethered together, so you can pump one side while feeding your baby on the other, which is a very efficient way to build a supply in the early weeks. It also means you always have a spare if one needs cleaning or charging.

How long does a session take?

Most people find fifteen to twenty minutes with a double pump, against thirty or more doing each side separately. The right length is until the flow slows and stops rather than a fixed time on a clock. If you are consistently pumping for much longer than twenty minutes without much coming, check your flange size before assuming it is a supply issue.

Is it suitable for exclusive pumping?

Yes, and it is the version we would recommend for it. Exclusive pumping means eight or more sessions a day in the early months, and doing that with a single pump is close to a full-time job. The double halves each session and the hospital-grade suction is designed to sustain a supply rather than just top it up.

Expressing without being tied down (well worth having)
I have used it enough now to give it a fair review. The suction is comfortable and there are enough settings to find a gentle rhythm. It has been useful for building a small freezer supply.
