Both units of the double Air™ pump plus their parts, so everything travels together and stays protected. With a double pump there are twice as many small components to lose, and that is really what the case solves. It is sized specifically for the double, so nothing has to be forced in.
If you have the double pump, yes, because the single case will not take both units. If you have the single pump, the single case is the correct size and cheaper. Buy to match the pump you own rather than to leave room for an upgrade.
Check the listing for the specification. A carry case protects and organises, but for keeping expressed milk cold while travelling you want a cool bag with an ice pack. NHS guidance allows up to five days in a fridge at 4°C or below, so getting milk cold promptly matters more than the bag itself.
It is designed to be carried daily rather than to be bulky, but with two pump units it is inevitably larger than the single case. If you commute with a small bag, it is worth checking dimensions against your bag before ordering. If space is tight, many people carry the pump units in the case and keep spare parts in a separate pouch.
Wipe it out regularly and air it open rather than storing it closed while damp, which is what causes smells over time. Wash the pump parts properly rather than relying on the case being clean. If anything leaks inside, clean it out the same day.
