Replacement Valve

A replacement valve for the BABYGO® Electric Breast Pump, made from BPA-free, food-grade material.

Valves wear with regular use, and a fresh valve keeps suction strong and pumping comfortable. If suction feels weaker than usual, this is usually the part to replace.

Because they are the part that wears out first and they are what creates suction. A valve that has softened, stretched or split will let the vacuum leak, and the symptom is a gradual drop in output that most people mistake for a supply problem. Replacing a worn valve often restores a pump that seemed to be failing.
Every four to eight weeks with regular daily pumping, and sooner if you notice output dropping or the pump sounding different. If you are exclusively pumping, keep spares in the house, because a split valve on a Monday morning is not something you want to wait for the post to fix.
Look for a split, a tear, or a valve that has gone limp and no longer sits flat against the flange. The functional signs are less suction, longer sessions for the same output, or a change in the sound of the pump. Comparing a used valve against a new one side by side usually makes the difference obvious.
It is made for the BABYGO® Air™ Electric Breast Pump in both single and double versions. Fittings are not standardised between manufacturers, so if you are using another brand's pump, check before ordering. Keeping a spare valve in the house is sensible if you pump daily, since a split one stops a session entirely.
Wash in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly after each use, handling it gently since it is a thin flexible part. Do not stretch it to clean inside, which is what causes premature failure. Air dry fully before reassembling, and sterilise once daily as you would the other parts that touch milk.
