Holding your baby up at the breast through a long feed is hard on your arms, shoulders and back, and in the early weeks there are a lot of feeds. This nursing pillow goes round your waist and raises your baby up to the breast, so the pillow takes their weight instead of you.
The filling is firm enough that your baby doesn't sink into it, and it holds its shape to the end of a feed. Because the pillow sits round you rather than balancing on your lap, it stays where you put it and leaves your hands free to help with the latch.
It works just as well for bottle feeds, and after a C-section it keeps your baby's weight off your incision. Between feeds, use it for supervised tummy time, and later as support while your baby learns to sit.
The cover zips off for the wash, which with a new baby is often, and spare covers are sold separately so there's always a clean one ready.

Questions, answered.
How firm is it?
Firm enough to hold your baby at breast height without them sinking in, but soft to the touch. It arrives vacuum packed, so it can look flat at first: take it out of the packaging and give it a day to fill out, and a little longer for the creases to drop out of the cover.
Can I use it for bottle feeding?
Yes. It raises your baby into a more upright position for a bottle and takes the weight off your arms, so it helps whoever is doing the feed.
Can I use it after a C-section?
Yes. With your baby lying on the pillow rather than on your lap, their weight stays off your scar while they feed. Settle the pillow round you before you pick your baby up, and if a position pulls on the wound, your midwife can help you find another one.
Can my baby sleep on it?
No. It's for feeding and supervised play only. Never leave your baby to sleep on or against it, because a baby can slump or roll into the soft sides, which is a suffocation risk. If they drop off during a feed, move them onto their back on a firm, flat mattress in their cot or Moses basket.
What else can I use it for?
Supervised tummy time, and propping up a baby who's learning to sit, with you right beside them. It stays useful after the early feeding weeks, but it's never a place for your baby to sleep.
