Easing back into movement after birth rather than for the early recovery weeks. It pairs supportive postpartum pieces designed for walking, gentle exercise and busy days on your feet, in sizes M to XXL. It is the step after the soft, low-compression items you live in for the first six weeks.
After your six week check, or when a healthcare professional has confirmed you are ready, and later than that after a C-section. Returning to exercise postpartum is about your pelvic floor and abdominal recovery rather than how you feel on a good day. A pelvic health physiotherapist is the best person to advise on timing if you can access one.
It can make movement more comfortable by supporting the abdominal muscles, but compression does not close a separation on its own. That needs progressive rehabilitation, ideally guided by a pelvic health physiotherapist. Think of supportive clothing as something that makes the work easier rather than something that does the work for you.
Order for your current postpartum size rather than a goal size, and size up if you are between two. Sizes run M to XXL. Compression garments that are too small get worn once and abandoned, and there is nothing to be gained from squeezing into a smaller size when the point is to support you while you move.
Wash at 30 degrees and never tumble dry. Heat destroys elastane, and elastane is what provides the compression you are paying for. Avoid fabric softener, which coats technical fabrics and reduces both stretch recovery and breathability. Wash inside out, away from anything with velcro or zips.
