Under-bump sits below the bump against your hips, which many people prefer in warmer months and earlier in pregnancy because it is cooler and lower profile. Over-bump comes up and over, giving more support and warmth, which tends to suit later pregnancy and colder weather. Neither is better, and plenty of people own both and switch as the bump grows.
Usually somewhere between 10 and 16 weeks, when your usual underwear starts to feel tight at the waist or leave marks. There is no fixed week, and the signal is discomfort rather than a date. The four-way stretch is designed to accommodate the change rather than requiring you to size up, and under-bump styles in particular sit on the hips rather than the waist, which changes far less. Sizes run S to XL. If you are between sizes, take the larger for a looser fit later on.
You can, though a high-waisted postpartum style is the better choice for the first weeks, because it clears a C-section scar and holds a maternity pad more securely. Under-bump maternity knickers sit right around the hip and bikini line, which is exactly where you least want a seam after a caesarean. Many people move into these once the early recovery period is behind them.

    Too small

    I’ve had to take off 2 stars as they run very small. I’m normally a medium but ordered a large. They’re still too small and the seams land on my C-section scar. I’d recommend going up 2 sizes.

    Aside from the bad fitting the product is great, it holds the area well and makes me feel more secure. The material is nice and soft making it very comfortable.

    Will definitely order more but in a larger size

    Made a real difference: kept their stretch after washing

    I was unsure whether we really needed it, but it has proved its worth. The waistband stretches over my bump without rolling or digging in. They have kept their shape after repeated washing. It has made everyday life that bit easier.

    Nearly perfect

    Needed something uncomplicated and this has done the job. The cut gives good coverage while still feeling light. The shade is a little different from the website photos, but still lovely.
