Over the bump, coming up and across rather than sitting underneath it. This gives gentle all-round support and a smoother line under clothes, and it stops the waistband rolling down under the bump as you move, which is the usual frustration with under-bump styles later in pregnancy. It also keeps the bump warmer, which some people want in winter and others do not.
Many people find so. As the bump grows, an under-bump waistband has less to sit against and can roll or slip, while an over-bump panel stays put. The trade-off is warmth and coverage, so in a hot summer some people still prefer under-bump. If you are unsure, buying one of each is a reasonable way to find out.
No. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns or exchanges on knickers, even unworn with tags and stickers attached, so it is worth checking the size guide before ordering rather than buying two sizes to try. If they arrive faulty, damaged or are not what you ordered, that is different: contact us before sending anything back and we will put it right.
Your pre-pregnancy size. The stretch panel is designed to grow with the bump rather than needing you to size up in advance, so ordering larger usually results in a waistband that does not stay put. Sizes run S to XL. If you are carrying multiples, taking the next size up is sensible.
Machine wash at 30 degrees on a low temperature and keep them out of the tumble dryer. Heat is what breaks down the 7% elastane that gives them their shape, and it is the most common reason seams and waistbands go before their time. Skip fabric softener, and wash them with similar items rather than alongside zips or hooks that catch a seamless knit.
