When you're warming a bag of expressed milk at 3am, it's hard to judge whether it's ready. Each of these bags has a temperature strip on the front that changes colour as the milk warms, so you can see at a glance when it's right for a feed.
They stand up on their own while you fill them, and a double zip seal closes them firmly. Write the date and amount on the label with the marker pen in the box, then lay them flat in the freezer so they stack neatly and thaw quicker.
Each bag holds up to 180ml, with markings in ml and oz, and pours through a spout, so less ends up on the worktop when you fill a bottle. There's nothing to wash or sterilise: use it once, then throw it away.

Questions, answered.
How long can I store breast milk in them?
The NHS says expressed milk keeps at the back of the fridge for up to 8 days at 4C or lower, or 3 days if your fridge runs warmer or you're not sure; for 2 weeks in the ice compartment of a fridge; and for up to 6 months in a freezer at -18C or lower. Write the date on each bag as you fill it.
How do I stop them leaking?
Don't fill past the top line, squeeze the air out before you seal it, and run your fingers along the whole seal, not just the middle. If you're freezing them, leave a little room, because milk expands as it freezes.
How does the temperature strip work?
It changes colour with the milk: purple means it's still too cold, blue means it's about right, and white means it's too hot, so let it cool before you feed. Warm the sealed bag in a bowl of warm water, never boiling, and don't use the microwave, which heats milk unevenly.
Can I refreeze milk once it has thawed?
No. The NHS says not to re-freeze milk that's been defrosted; use it straight away. Once your baby has drunk from a bottle, use what's left within an hour and throw the rest away.
Can I reuse the bags?
