After a C-section, some people want their knickers to come right up over the incision and some want them to stay well below it. These are the low-rise pair. The soft, flexible waistband sits low, in a V at the front, and is cut to sit below the incision line rather than across it.
They're 71% Tencel™ Modal, very soft and stretchy, with a three-layer gusset that dries quickly and takes light bleeding and small leaks.
In pregnancy they sit under your bump, so you can wear them before the birth as well as after.

What size should I order?
One size up from your usual knickers. They're cut small, and a pair that's too snug can sit on the scar instead of below it. By dress size, S is 6 to 10, M 10 to 14, L 14 to 18 and XL 18 to 22; on the line between two, take the bigger one. For hygiene reasons we can't take knickers back or exchange them, so check the size guide before you order.
Where does the waistband sit?
Low: under the bump in pregnancy, and below the scar line after a C-section. If you'd rather it came up and over your tummy, our Postpartum Knickers have a high waist that sits above the scar, with a gentle hold.
Are these the same as your Under the Bump Knickers?
Yes, it's the same knicker. If you've already worn our Under the Bump Knickers in pregnancy, you know the fit and the size you need.
Do I still need maternity pads?
In the first few days after the birth, yes. Bleeding is heaviest then, so wear a pad in them as well. As it eases, many people find the gusset copes with lighter bleeding and small leaks on its own.
Can I wear them for periods later on?
Yes. The gusset takes light period days and small leaks, and they're soft enough to wear every day.
