Helps With
A gentle hip mobility exercise that helps release tension, improve pelvic movement and encourage relaxation — particularly soothing as your bump grows heavier.
Instructions
-
1
Kneel Up
Kneel in front of your ball with your knees hip-width apart and your forearms resting on the ball.
-
2
Drop Down
Link your fingers and slowly drop down onto the ball, resting your upper arms and chest on top.
-
3
Rest Head
Turn your head left or right and rest the side of your face on the ball, keeping your knees planted.
-
4
Circle Hips
Circle your hips slowly in a clockwise direction.
-
5
Switch & Continue
Switch direction and repeat, stopping when you notice signs of tiredness.
Tip
This is also a brilliant resting position during early labour — the forward lean takes pressure off your lower back between surges.
